as been at BRC since 1996, when she started as an administrative assistant. Over the years, she gained the experience to advance in the HR department to Director of Payroll and HR Manager.
HOW HAVE YOU SEEN BRC GROW DURING YOUR TIME HERE?
I’ve seen BRC grow to create more programs throughout the boros to better help and serve those who need a “hand up” with overcoming their obstacles. In doing so, BRC gives its clients a chance to help themselves which creates a sense of accomplishment.
WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED AND ENGAGED WITH YOUR WORK AT BRC?
The constant new challenges and experiences keep me motivated and engaged in my work. On any given day, there’s always something happening that changes the course of my day. As the saying goes… it’s never a dull day! With each position I held came more learning and greater responsibilities, which I enjoy.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST POWERFUL MOMENT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED AT BRC?
The most powerful moment I’ve experience at BRC was when I did the HOPE Count with the Homeless Outreach Team. It was powerful because I got to see first-hand how BRC staff work tirelessly to engage and offer services to persons living on the streets and subways. It was very enlightening.
